Sydney Luggage has been repairing travel goods and leather goods since 1952. All work is carried out on the premises at our Mascot store and only genuine spare parts are used.

What brands do we repair ?

Sydney Luggage can repair any brand luggage provided we have or are able to find the correct part to repair your case.  Please bring your bag into our Mascot store so that we can asses your repair.  Our repair prices start from $54.00.

Trading Hours

Monday to Friday 8.30am to 5.00pm

Saturday 9am to 3.30pm - There is no repairer on duty on Saturday’s but you are still welcome to drop off and collect your luggage.

Sunday 10am to 4pm - Repair Department Closed Sunday's.

 

 

WARRANTY REPAIR SERVICE

Sydney Luggage provides a warranty repair service for the following brands:-

Antler , Samsonite , Victorinox , High Sierra , American Tourister , Lipault , 

Delsey , Hedgren , Paklite , Wenger.

  

Please bring your bag along with your purchase receipt. If you don’t have your purchase receipt your bank statement will be sufficient.

We will assess your repair.  If your repair is classified as a warranty repair you will need your purchase receipt and there will be no cost to you for the repair.

If your bag is assessed and it’s not classified as a warranty repair , we can advise the price of the repair and then it’s up to you if you would like to proceed with the repair.  Our repair prices start from $54.00.

We would like to point out that not everything is covered under warranty. Most warranties do not cover wear and tear and do not cover damaged caused during transit, this includes airline damage. Please read the warranty documents that came with your bag when it was purchased.

 

What if my luggage can’t be repaired and it’s covered under warranty ?

Sydney Luggage is a warranty repair centre on behalf of brands imported into Australia.  If your item is deemed a warranty repair and needs to be replaced you will be provided with a letter advising that your bag cannot be repaired. You will then be able to return the luggage, purchase receipt and warranty letter to the store where you purchased your luggage from. If the luggage was purchased from an online only store you will need to contact the online retailer directly.

 

If my luggage was damaged by the airline , is this covered under warranty ?

Damage caused to luggage during transit ( airline damage ) is not covered under most warranties.  Please contact the airline that you last traveled with to make a damaged baggage claim.  Most airlines may process a claim within 24 to 48 hours after you have departed the flight.  

 

We provide this service on behalf of many brands and are more than happy to serve customers without prejudice. We ask that customers respect our professional decision when you visit our store. If you are not happy with the outcome we welcome you to contact the store your item was purchased from or contact the distributor of that particular brand in Australia.  We are more than happy to assist customers with repair enquries, but abuse will not be tolerated under any circumstances.

 

PICKUP & DELIVERY SERVICE

Do we offer a pickup and delivery service ?

Yes we do offer a pickup and delivery service. 

Pick-up and Delivery -  Our pickup and delivery fee is $55.00 within Sydney metropolitan area ( this price does not include the price to repair your luggage ) . If you live outside of the Sydney metropolitan area, we can still arrange pick-up and delivery but at a different price. Please contact us to request a price.

Bring It In - to be repaired at our Mascot store location located at 1147 Botany Road Mascot NSW 2020.  There's a 2 hour council carpark located directly behind our store.  You can park on Botany Road for 30 minutes. Monday to Friday after 3pm it becomes a clearway.

Do I need to make an appointment ?

No appointment is needed to have your luggage repaired.  Just come into our Mascot store with your luggage and one of our team will be happy to help you.

SLC TOWN HALL NO LONGER PROVIDE A REPAIR SERVICE.

AIRLINE CLAIMS

If you have made a claim with one of the airlines that we service please bring your damaged luggage along with a hard copy or print out of your damage report.  

If your luggage can be repaired we shall repair the case and you will need to return at a later date to collect your luggage.

If your luggage needs to be replaced , you will need to leave your luggage with us. We will obtain a replacement value from the airline , we will then contact you to return and to choose a replacement to the value authorised by the airline.  If you choose an item that is higher than the authorised value then you can pay the difference.

Will the airline pickup & deliver my luggage ?

It is up to the passenger to bring in their damaged luggage.  If you would like to have the airline pickup & deliver your luggage you will need to contact the airline you have made the claim with and they will notify Sydney Luggage of the service.

 

QUOTATION SERVICE

If you require a written quote for an insurance claim or a with a third party company such as an airline or cruise please bring your luggage to our Mascot store.  There is a fee of $49.50 for the written quote.  If you return to have the luggage repaired or to purchase new luggage , the fee of $49.50 will be deducted off the end repair price or new item you are purchasing.

Alternatively , if you require a written quote and you would like to leave the luggage to be repaired or to purchase new luggage while you are in store , we can provide you with the written quote so you can save yourself time and not have to return at a later date.
